What is the World Builders Guild? We are a group dedicated to collecting great artwork that will inspire world building. Our members are both artists who like to draw fantasy worlds and want to share their artwork, as well as writers who enjoy creating and writing about such worlds and benefit from viewing the great artwork. What Is World Building?World Building is the process of creating a fictional world, from drawing the world map right down to creating the civilizations and races that live in the world. It is most often undertaken by fantasy and sci-fi writers however, films and video games also feature world building especially if they are in the fantasy or sci-fi genre. The degree of building that is done depends entirely upon the individual writer and their needs. Arguably the most famous world builder is J.R.R Tolkien. Can I become a Guild Member?Certainly, we’d love to have you join The World Builders Guild. Though if you would like to submit your artwork then please only submit your best work as we like to keep a high standard to provide the greatest inspiration and quality possible. Please don’t be offended if your art is rejected, we will try and tell you why your piece was rejected. However, most of the time it is due to the art being submitted to the featured folder rather than the relevant one. If you're not a member or watcher yet then please join us Nate The World Builders Guild |

World Building With Words Competition TipsHi WBGuild,
I’d firstly like to thank you for the great support we’ve had for the launch of this competition. Many of our affiliate groups have sent messages out to their members as have a number of the top writing groups on DA. So we’re looking forward to a rather exciting competition.
Now I know this is not your typical writing competition - where you write a story or poem about a number of characters experiencing a set of events - so I’ve written this article to provide examples, tips and help with your submission.
If you don't know anything about World Building With Words then please see the below article for more information on the rules and how to enter.
It’s not a story competition?
You’re first question may have been “No stories? What do you mean no stories?” well this group’

Banryu Creation Myths Number 1: The Great Nest
In the beginning, there was just the World Nest. A clutch of many eggs buried in rock.
Then came the time of the great hatching. Many of the eggs hatched and the worlds creatures fell out into the dirt. Their egg shells scattered around them and covered the rocks at the heart of the world.
But soon the creatures became hungry and there was nothing to eat except the shells and each other. Some eggs hadn't hatched. The animals smashed these eggs and tried to eat the whites and creatures within. The creatures within the smashed eggs woke up when their eggs were smashed but they had been slow to grow in their eggs and their arms and legs hadn't fully formed. Some of them fought back however, and many animals backed away and fought each other or the ones that didn't fight back. And they all fought over the yolk, which pooled in the lower areas of the nest. In the midst of the fighting the two biggest animals, the Sun and the Moon, challenged each other. They f

Try some request groups: [link]
Considering your section question, I'm afraid at the moment I don't have requests open. A good thing you might want to try out is to search the dA group database (groups.deviantart.com) for "request" and see if you can find any groups containing people currently hosting requests.
